This application form is for all students who will be studying the Graduate Certificate of Anglican Ministry. If you are intending to study any other course, please exit and select the appropriate application form.

Please ensure that you have read all the information on our website about the GCAM prior to completing this form. Please complete all the fields in this form. The form cannot be saved, so allow enough time to complete it, and have your attachments ready before you begin. If you are married, there is a section that will require your spouse's signature.

The Graduate Certificate of Anglican Ministry is an award intended for preparing non-Moore College graduates for ordination to the diaconate in the Anglican Diocese of Sydney. As such, a recommendation from the Anglican Diocese of Sydney should accompany this application.

In total, you will need three references. These references should be from:

Anglican Diocese of Sydney (upload on the last page of this form).
The rector of your parish (reference form at this link).
A prominent lay person in the parish (reference form at this link).

References should be from both male and female persons. Referees should complete the form and email it to RegistrarDept@moore.edu.au

Other required attachments:

Identity documents (passport preferred.)
PDFs of prior transcripts.
IELTS results (if prior degree not completed in English.)

Level: Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Level 8. It is an accredited course of study.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

The academic requirements for admission to the course may be satisfied by the following:

A bachelor’s degree in theology or a Master of Divinity (as a first theological degree) from an accredited institution such as those colleges affiliated with the Australian College of Theology, or equivalent.

1. Prior Study

Please list all tertiary studies which you have undertaken or are currently undertaking. Academic transcripts or proof of award of your previous degrees must accompany this application.

2. English Competency

Applicants whose first language is not English, or who have not completed their prior degree in theology in English, should provide a certified copy of an IELTS score of at least 7.5 in all categories of the academic test.

3. Recommendation from the Diocese of Sydney

A recommendation from the Anglican Diocese of Sydney that you are a candidate for ordination is required to accompany this application. This recommendation constitutes one of the References required.
