BEFORE YOU START

This application form is for all students who will be studying the one-year Advanced Diploma of Bible, Mission and Ministry. If you are intending to study any other course, please exit and select the appropriate application form.

Application Due Dates:

  • Commencing study in Semester 1 (February) — apply by 30 November the year before.
  • Commencing study in Semester 2 (July) — apply by 21 June.

Length of Study:

  • Full-time — one year
  • Part-time — up to six years

Level: Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Level 6. It is an accredited course of study.

Before starting, please ensure you have the following ready:

  • Enough time to complete the form in one sitting. It cannot be saved halfway through.
  • Official transcripts and testamur (certificate) of prior study. See Admission Requirements on the website for details.
  • An identification document (Passport preferred.)
  • Citizenship or residency documents (if you are not an Australian citizen.)
  • English test results (for international students — see website for language entry requirements.)
  • Names, email addresses and phone numbers for three referees who will be required to complete a reference for you.
  • WWCC Details (if you are resident in Australia). See page 7 for more details.
  • Safe Ministry Training certificate. See page 7 for more details.

  • Permission from your spouse/fiancé to include their contact details (if applicable).
  • Availability of your spouse/fiancé to sign the application form (if applicable).

Your referees must meet the following criteria:

  • Have agreed to be a referee and been informed that their details will only be kept for the purposes of contacting them to obtain a reference.
  • Have known you for at least three years and have an appreciation of your plans.
  • One referee is the senior minister of your church.
  • The second and third referees have a position of leadership in your church or para-church ministries (e.g. church warden, home group leader, MTS trainer).
  • Referees must not include current students, current applicants or family members (related to you or each other).
  • Referees must include both male and female persons.

The College offers some rental accommodation for couples and families in three separate locations (Newtown, Croydon Park and Parramatta). You can apply for accommodation, however, available accommodation is limited and you may not be allocated housing for at least the first two years of study. There are also single residences for men and women students and the normal expectation is that single students will live in these residences, wherever possible.
